I haven't been around in forever. I just really sidetracked and depressed and miserable and busy and a gambit of other excuses as to why I haven't been around. But, I'm back...I think.

It's been kinda crazy with a new job and health problems and various other things. However, in the meantime, *Jedahl and I started taking art lessons (yeah, I know, he doesn't really need them, but it's something we can do together; besides, he agreed to try voice lessons, so, it's only fair) about a month back. I, of course, assumed I would suck, as I've rarely been able to draw even an identifiable stick figure, but I figured, what the hell, I can embarass myself for the sake of my man. Turns out, some people (read that as *Jedahl) seem to think I'm not so bad. So, you'll see I posted the only drawings I've done thus far. And, no, I don't think they're all that good, and I doubt my poor fragile ego can take it if anyone else thinks they're not that good. So, if you don't think they're worth looking at, don't tell me, I don't want to know. I've never been opposed to be lied to in the interest of having my ego soothed and saved. If, however, you want to tell me I'm fabulous, then be my guest. I'm not drawing for criticism, simply because it's something to enjoy with my husband, and I'm perfectly happy being delusional.

Been a long time since I wrote, eh?

Well, not much going on, but, a few things I'm working on.

Writing update (Hey, everyone else gets to do art updates):

1. Still writing and re-writing a follow up to Ruined Altars - this isn't going so well, unfortunately. I can't seem to come up with a good follow up piece.

2. Working on a story for something ~Syreene has been working on called The Justice Project It's coming along slowly, but it's coming along. I may post up some of it when I get to a sensible stopping point. Right now, I'm hanging in mid-paragraph.

3. I also want to get something written for the Erotic Story Contest Page Not sure yet what I want the theme to be, but with 2000 words as a limit, I think I can get a bit more creative than some of my other stories.

4. As soon as I have a few minutes, I'm also going to be posting what I have done of another erotic piece I've been working on and abandoned. I need to dust that off and get it running again. I miss those characters and I miss their interaction. Definitely need to get them talking again.


Other than that, I have another song that I recorded, which will be linked in this journal as soon as I have it available to me. That should be available soon.

And so, dear readers, I haven't abandoned my writing, just took a long vacation that hopefully is over now and I can get back into the swing of things.

So, I've completely not been following my resolution to write every day, but that's okay. I've realized that that's just an unrealistic goal. I will try to write at least once a week from now on, even if it's crap. Don't want to go stagnant.

And, I've decided to momentarily scrap my original key story. I'll come back to that, I think, but not with the key as the focal point. However, I have come up with a brand new plot for the key story and I really like it. It hit, of all places, while I was in the shower this morning, and I still haven't had a moment to put the ideas down on paper. Grrrrr. But I've been developing and tweaking it all day as I'm working, so, I should have some decent ideas and consistent thoughts and story plots and basic character designs down by the time I get home and can sit down and write. This story is most definitely going to be in parts. It's not going to quite be a novel, but it's definitely not going to be a short story, I don't think, anyway. We shall see.

I have plans! I have ideas! I have characters! I have plot!
